Like the signature you use on written documents today, digital signatures are now being used to identify authors/co-signers of e-mail or electronic data. Digital signatures are created and verified using Digital Certificates.
Today, the international and also Belgian legal community is preparing legislation that will make digital signatures as legally binding and universally accepted as the written ones. To sign information, to conduct a secured transaction, you will need your own unique Digital Certificate.

Digital signatures can provide major important functions such as: authentication confidentiality, data integrity and non-repudiation.

D Soft developed the following standard digital signing solutions:

D2S Sign Key
Expires when the correspondent certificate expires. The D2S Sign Key is linked to the public key of the certificate that is used for signing the PDF file. In most cases this kind of Sign key will expire after one year.
E-mail based: Expires when the e-mail address in the certificate that is used for signing is no longer the same as when the Sign Key was originally bought.

The D2S Acrobat Plug-in provides a simple yet user-friendly way of incorporating any certificate into a PDF file using Acrobat 4 or 5.
D2S Sign&Validate
Allows you to sign PDF files even without a full Acrobat license.
D2S Sign&Validate - JAVA is a JAVA application which runs on the client side in a browser. With this application you can open "Signed" PDF files in order to validate the signature(s) present in the current PDF file. You can also view the current PDF file.
D2S Server Sign SDK can be integrated into a server environment. The SDK provides functions that allows you to sign PDF files with a server certificate.
